The first step in the REGISTRATION process (whether your child is new to Mt. Diablo Soccer or your child is a returning player) is to go to http://www.eayso.org/ and pre-register your child.

To register your child with Mt. Diablo Soccer you must complete these 3 simple steps:

1.

Pre-register via http://www.eayso.org/ (choose Region 223 when prompted)

2.

Print out ONE copy of each player's form via the "Print players form" link on http://www.eayso.org/.

3.

Brint the documents including proof of birth if new to our walk-in registration events (see home page or calendar):

* ONE copy of each of your child(ren)'s registration form(s)

* Copy of birth certificate if any of your children are New to MDSA for proof of age

* Registration fee: checks should be made payable to MDSA

Note: we have a limited number of computers with internet access at registration events - unless you want to stand in line please follow the steps above prior to coming to our registration event.

Important Reminder:

  • Pre-registering online is the first step for registration, but by itself, does not get your child on a team. You must complete the process by printing the form, signing it and submitting it along with payment and necessary documents listed above at a walk-in registration event.
  • If volunteering as a coach or referee or any other volunteer positions, please make certain to complete the "Apply as a new adult volunteer" or if returning "Apply as a continuing adult volunteer" from your MyeAYSO profile on the http://www.eayso.org/. The Volunteer application must be submitted each year.  Bring two signed copies of your AYSO volunteer application along with the registration forms to one of the walk-in registration events.

Frequent Answers :
If you cannot get the registration form to appear, enable popups.

Do not use a Macintosh for pre-registration unless it has been specially loaded with Firefox as the browser.

Remember the email address and password you used when you pre-registered your child in a prior season. That is the key to finding your previously stored information.

In some circumstances, you may be trying to pre-register your child who has already played in a prior season, and eAYSO does not show them listed, but when you create them, it says that they already exist. If this happens to you, please contact eaysosupport@ayso.org for help.

Wait List Policy & Process

Waitlist applies only to registrations received AFTER the final registration event.  When an opening occurs, a Registrar will fill the vacancy with the first player on the wait list in their division, and so on. There are no guarantees that your child will be able to play. However, we will do our best without disrupting our "Team Balancing" philosophy.

To have your child(ren) added to the wait list, the process is simple:

1.
Pre-register via http://www.eayso.org/ (choose Region 223 when prompted)
2.
Print out ONE COPIES of each player's registration via the "Print Form" link on http://www.eayso.org/
3.
Mail the registration forms along with one check per player made out to MDSA to:

MDSA Registrar
PO Box 21111
Concord, CA 94521

Play Up / Play Down Policy

The group that you belong in depends on the age you are on July 31st of each year. So, if you are 9 years old when July 31st comes around, you are in the Under 10 (U10) age bracket.

Players may be allowed to play up (play in an older age group) if they petition the Commissioner along with the two documents indicated below, no later than the last date of guaranteed placement. Generally you must be within a few weeks of the cutoff or be a player of above average ability. We will not move a player for social reasons, as the player's safety is the most important consideration. The following two items must be submitted before consideration and/or approval is done:

1) A letter/email from the parent(s) indicating their request for their child(ren) to play up a division; and

2) A letter/email from the player's previous season coach indicating their recommendation.

You may email the above items to registration@mdsoccer.org for quicker response.

Players are generally not allowed to play down (play in a younger age group) unless there is a disability or similar situation. If you are requesting a "Play Down" please send an email to registration@mdsoccer.org and include as much information as you can in your request.

After requests have been received, it will be forwarded to the Commissioner for review and approval if the request is granted.

Scholarship Policy

Mt. Diablo Soccer has a Scholarship Request Form (pdf format) and there is a formal process for requesting and awarding scholarships as we feel strongly that it is important to be sensitive to the needs of our community.

Mt. Diablo Soccer is a non-profit organization and is run by volunteers.  Each player's registration fees help to cover costs associated with uniforms, insurance, equipment, field rental fees, maintenance and upkeep. We encourage families to contribute as much of the fees as possible to help Mt. Diablo Soccer cover these costs.

If considered for a scholarship, all that Mt. Diablo Soccer asks for in return, are volunteer hours from a parents, signing up for one of our volunteer duties. The volunteer duties can range from: being a coach,  a referee, working a registration event, field maintenance and field marshal duties.
Scholarship Request Form (pdf format) may be dowdloaded and for privacy reasons may be filled out completely and submitted directly to our Registrars via email at registration@mdsoccer.org

The form may be submitted in advance of the upcoming registration events (preferred) or at any of the registration events in person.  The Registrars will review the application to ensure it is complete and clear before forwarding it to the Regional Commissioner for review and final approval
.
