I am delighted to be able to today share the news of the newest step on the AYSO Player Pathway in our community: the launch of Mt. Diablo Mustang Soccer, a competitive club level program in AYSO Area 2C playing in NorCal Premier Soccer Leagues.

Mt. Diablo Mustang Soccer will be the pinnacle of the AYSO Pathway (Recreational > Alliance > Competitive Club) for our local players and families, offering talented young athletes in the Mt. Diablo area further opportunities to develop their skills and compete at a high level.

The Club has entered into a Licensing and Branding Agreement with Mustang Soccer, to expand the incredibly positive influence Mustang Soccer Club has had on youth soccer in the Bay Area for over 50 years. As part of the partnership, players will wear high quality Nike Mustang uniforms, and Mustang Soccer will invest in coaching and club equipment as part of its Nike contract.

Both Mt. Diablo Mustang Soccer and Mustang Soccer Club will be holding in-person and Zoom Town Hall-style meetings next month to answer questions from families. All AYSO recreational programs with MDSA and Area 2C Alliance Programs remain unchanged. Starting in Fall 2024, Mustang recreational teams will join the existing Area 2C Interplay circuit for the older age divisions.
